Imphal, Feb. 20: The Zomi community celebrated its 64th Zomi National Day in Imphal today. The Zomi Students’ Federation, the organisers of the cultural programme, had invited chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh and other ministers for the event at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre here. The students group took this opportunity to apprise the ministers of the community’s desire for peace, development and equality.

Pu Hau Do Suan is appointed to Director General of Myanmar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA) on May 26, 2011. One of the few non-Burmans promoted at that level in Myanmar government. Pu Suan served in the MOFA as Deputy Director before being promoted. Pu Hau Do Suan held other important positions in the past : Permanent Mission of Myanmar to the United Nations, Embassy of Myanmar in Washington DC, and  as Myanmar Consul General at Kunming, China.

Public policy is a course of action or deliberate inaction by governments to address a problem[1]. In an attempt to understand how governments pursue a particular public policy, different actors, groups and institutions are identified in the policy framework[2]. In this process, many different theories are developed to explain public policy making and policy outcomes. These theories are different from one another based on the method of analysis they use to understand the issue. For example, public choice theory focuses on individual level and neglect the role of institutions.
